Jason's Review of The Whale 2022 ★★★★½

A difficult but extremely powerful and rewarding experience. Brendan Fraser is extraordinary, but so is everyone else in the cast. I was riveted to my seat, and hung on every word in the multi-layered script. Aronofsky continues to be one of my favorite filmmakers.

As someone who was once obese (320 lbs), has battled depression, and still sometimes misuses food to manage emotions, I found this pretty overwhelming at times.
