Jason's Review of The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023 ★★★★

Pretty wonderful! The animation is incredibly beautiful, full of soothing colors and imaginative landscapes. The story is simple but snappy and fun. Some really solid needle drops.

I’m not much of a gamer, but I have lots of history with Mario (primarily the first three Mario games on the original Nintendo and Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64) and seeing some of those OG Nintendo landscapes and challenges from a first person POV was way more thrilling than I expected.

Good stuff! Actually kinda wish I would have seen it in 3D (and I usually hate 3D).
