The Mortuary Collection 2019 ★★★★

A very fun horror anthology that starts out a tad shaky, but gets better and better as it goes along, packing some genuine surprises even for experienced horror fans. Clancy Brown makes for a very fine Crypt Keeper (basically), complete with a wry sense of humor.

It does a really fine job of creating its own self-contained world too - even though we only see a tiny bit of this town, it feels like it’s right down the road from one of Lovecraft’s possessed seaside communities. I bet there’s a lot more stories there and I would totally watch a sequel.
