Looks like it’s that age-old story of film critics (both professional and non-professional) as well as highfalutin horror fans not knowing how to have any fun, because this movie is a f***ing blast and a half! A suspenseful, high-octane, action-packed gorefest that is not one second longer or shorter than it needs to be, I loved it. This is Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the age of Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights and I am 100% OK with that. It also fits since the town of Harlow looks so much like a set, haha (only a minor demerit). I got all the way to the end credits before I realized that the final girl was Elsie Fisher from Eighth Grade! No wonder I loved her!
