As much flack as most Netflix Original movies tend to get, they really do fill a specific need. "I am in the mood to watch a movie, nothing in particular, don't want any heavy lifting right now, just something with an [enter specific genre] vibe." Bam. There you go. It's not going to be best of anything you've ever seen, but it just might quench your thirst for zoning out to something of a certain type. And hey, that's not nothing.
Just like the first one, this achieves exactly what it sets out to be. Likable lead actors (who work extremely well together) playing likable characters, in a loosely-enjoyable story that takes place in attractive locales. It's fun! Even made me laugh out loud a few times. Could it be better? Sure. Did it have to be? Nah, not really.
As far as I'm concerned, they can keep making these every few years and I will totally tune in. I'd watch either of these 10 times before suffering through Stalker again, what can I say?
