Not perfect, as it gets too buried in bombast toward the end, but it’s really fun and well-cast. The story is a solid continuation of the original, and if I’m being honest, it’s probably the better-made film (yes, the original did not hold up especially well for me the last time I revisited a few years ago.)
Kickass and surprisingly eclectic soundtrack too (Parliament, the Shirelles, the Buzzcocks, Shirley Ellis…)
I’ll be there for the sequel for sure!
